Refund Policy
Overview
CodeByZeno is committed to delivering high-quality digital products. We take our work seriously and stand behind every project. This policy explains under what circumstances refunds may be issued.
Upfront / Deposit Payments
The initial deposit (typically 50% of the project value) secures your project slot and covers planning, discovery, and initial design work. Deposits are non-refundable once project work has commenced, as these funds compensate for time already invested.
Milestone Payments
Payments made upon completion of a milestone are non-refundable once that milestone has been approved by the client. Approval may be explicit (written sign-off) or implicit (no objection raised within 5 business days of delivery).
Eligible Refund Situations
- CodeByZeno is unable to begin work within the agreed start date by more than 14 days — full deposit refund
- A fundamental deliverable fails to function as specified in the SOW and cannot be remediated within 30 days — partial or full refund at our discretion
- Payment was made in error (duplicate transaction) — full refund within 7 business days
Retainer Agreements
Monthly retainer fees are non-refundable once the month has begun. You may cancel a retainer with 30 days written notice; the final month is fully billable.
